Good Day to You Dear Reader, 2nd Nov. 2021
I have expressed 1o of 20 tips for weight reduction in what we eat and drink. I’ve also given you a big article about exercise for weight reduction. So now we’ll continue to look at the 10-additional suggestions to help you and those you know and love.
I may be taking a risk because you might say I’m talking too much about weight loss and fitness, however being fit is the leading answer to staying younger and enjoying a better life. If you think about all of your life a little bit you realize that EVERY aspect of your life is altered by being overweight and less than ideally healthy.
It’s my consideration that if you’re gaining weight and can’t control it, this is a major “Pathognomonic sign” that you have a serious health condition that must be addressed. It maybe a mild addiction to sweet drinks like milk-tea and Coka-Cola, or it may be a problem with thyroid and adrenals.
From the Chinese Acupuncturist’s view there would be a concern about the Triple Warmer Meridian related to In addition to 4 molar teeth and vertebrae, T-9 to coccyx (this is the mid back to the end of the spine just above the anus. This meridian is also most closely connected to the following organs:
- Pineal gland
With these energetic connections, it’s easy to see why the triple warmer plays such a large role in our stress response.
Emotionally, the triple warmer is strongly connected with fear, greed, and grief. A balanced triple warmer promotes a stable mind, kind heart, and feeling of joy.
Signs of triple warmer meridian imbalance
A number of health conditions are associated with an imbalanced triple warmer meridian. When it is frequently overstimulated, you may experience the following symptoms:
- Cold hands and feet<
- Cold or fever
- Stomach problems<
- Feeling overwhelmed
- Autoimmune disorders
- Muscle pain
- Eye redness
- Anxiety3 4
- Spinal relationship: T-9 to coccyx
Count from T-12 up three segments to T-9 and to the bottom of the spine where we see the label for Coccyx. All of that is related to the Triple Warmer Meridian, the internal organs, digestion, and hormone balance.
If you suffer from these symptoms, it would be a wise choice to have counsel with a holistic practitioner. An acupuncturist or other deeper tissue massage therapist. A doctor who practices Oriental medicine may be able to diagnose a triple warmer imbalance by checking your tongue, pulse, using postural analysis, muscle testing, and through palpation = (touch exam.)
This list of symptoms you have just read is extremely common, particularly in the United States, Canada, and some European countries. Look again at the two lists for these little < arrow pointers. Anyone who understands physiology can immediately see how these glands and organs relate to diet and weight gain.
The patient with such problems needs at least to change his/her diet, get regular massage, and perhaps acupuncture treatment, perhaps Chinese herbal medicine treatments, and change his/her thinking to focus less on earning more and more money and concentrate more on finding his/her path to true spiritual development.
Ideally, the program must be done in all parts simultaneously. He gets massage, he changes his eating menu to mostly vegetables and protein, he self-disciplines to avoid eating sugar and white flour. He takes a good quality natural multiple vitamin and mineral supplement in the morning with a healthy breakfast.
The patient (man or woman) WILL see good results and note more energy, a feeling of more emotional balance and stability, and may say that work seems less stressful, life and friendships go better and more easily. He or She may also say there is less feeling of fear and desire to control others, less feeling of a need to defend his honor or her self-pride. She can allow small perceived criticisms to just wash off her “like water off a duck’s back.”
She looks better and life goes better. That’s what everyone wants!
We can combine what he understand above this sentence with the Western Health-care thinking to have a well rounded approach.
11. Avoid sugar-sweetened beverages and alcoholic beverages
Sugar-sweetened beverages are loaded with liquid fructose, which can make you gain belly fat. We’re talking about soda drinks, sweetened fruit juices, fruit juice sweetened “tea,” milk tea, and similar beverages. They all are “Liquid Candy” and actually push more of the population into illness, particularly hypo-glycemia, diabetes, and hormone (endocrine) problems, overweight, headaches, high blood pressure and related heart diseases.
My friend, if you’re under age 35 and feeling sort of sexless, lacking energy and lacking interest in living, you really must recognize you need to make some major changes to improve your health. You CAN have that energy and love of life and “bedroom pleasures” again, but to have that restoration of your more youthful appearance and general healthy feeling, you’ll need to change your dining habits and get some help from a massage therapist and perhaps also a doctor in the Chinese health-care community.
Studies show that sugary drinks lead to increased fat in the liver. One 10-week study found significant abdominal fat gain in people who consumed high fructose beverages.
Sugary beverages appear to be even worse than high sugar foods.
Since your brain doesn’t process liquid calories the same way it does solid ones, you’re likely to end up consuming too many calories later on and storing them as fat.
To lose belly fat, it’s best to completely avoid sugar-sweetened beverages such as:
- sweet tea
- alcoholic mixers containing sugar
- and avoid sugar sweetened foods, and white flour products. The less of those things you eat the more quickly you’ll see changes in your health picture.
12. Get plenty of restful sleep
Sleep is important for many aspects of your health, including weight. Studies show that people who don’t get enough sleep tend to gain more weight, which may include belly fat.
A 16-year study involving more than 68,000 women found that those who slept less than 5 hours per night were significantly more likely to gain weight than those who slept 7 hours or more per night.
The condition known as sleep apnea, wherein breathing stops intermittently during the night, has also been linked to excess visceral fat.
In addition to sleeping at least 7 hours per night, make sure you’re getting sufficient quality sleep.
A few things you can do to improve your sleep are:
Avoid coffee or tea after 6 PM (assuming you go to sleep between 8 to 11 each night). You’re avoiding caffeine and other stimulants.
Also reduce water drinking after 4 or 5 PM.
Have a lighter dinner, mostly vegetables at 5 or 6 PM. Sometimes one or two eggs and stir-fried or steamed vegetables will do wonders for you.
Then, if you have a safe place, go for some exercise or a walk.
Stop use of all Television, computer screens, cell phones 2-hours before sleeping. Replace that with reading, massaging and loving your partner, doing some other form of exercise, a long bath or shower, some meditation or prayer of some sort which you can do in the traditional yoga positions or simply sitting on a couch.
When you finally feel like you’re ready to sleep, then go to bed and don’t tell yourself you must stay awake 2 hours or until 10. Just go to bed!
If you suspect you may have sleep apnea or another sleep disorder, speak to a doctor and get treated.
Sleep deprivation is linked to an increased risk of weight gain. Getting enough high quality sleep should be one of your main priorities if you plan to lose weight and improve your health.
